We rented a home in Artesia for less than 6 months beginning in July 2017. We had no symptoms or issues. When we began packing to move we were horrified to learn that one entire room (where 2 of our children slept) was completely infested. We had to throw out all of our furniture from that room, and we got rid of most of our belongings that were in that room as well. Because we were moving, we didn’t treat the rental house. We were advised to move all of our belongings and then treat our brand

new house after we moved in. We paid thousands of dollars and went crazy treating the problem. After 6 months, we were finally free and clear.
Immediately after we discovered the infestation, we had pest control people come out. They said the infestation was so severe it had been there for at least a year (long before we lived there). After reporting all of this to our landlord, she chose to ignore it. I am sure all subsequent tenants have been effected.
