On Sep 16th, I went on a business trip with my wife to Toronto and stayed two nights at the Edward Hotel in North York. I experienced something quite unpleasant at this hotel. When I woke up early in the morning after the first night, I saw bugs crawling in many places. However, as with many hotels with dim lighting, it was hard to take pictures without the sunlight. I managed to snap a few photos of not only bed bugs, but also cockroaches of various sizes from baby to adult.

I immediately w

ent to the front desk and demanded that we be moved to a new room as a bare minimum (not wanting to cause a scene). But of course, when even the next room was crawling with bed bugs all over the place. Once again, I went to the front desk directly to report the poor state of their rooms, but the staff member on duty brushed me off like it was a normal occurrence without even a word of apology. Furthermore, the staff member was clearly not concerned about the spreading of bed bugs into my own home as a result of staying in this infested hotel.

What was even more dumbfounding is that as a compensation, they offered us a 10% discount and two bottles of water (talk about adding insult to injury...). How is this any way for a supposedly 3.5 star hotel to treat their customers? I suspect that majority of the hotel has been infested by now. How are they even operating without a shred of shame for the state of their rooms?

Please DO SOMETHING! This place needs to be shut down until they've rectified this issue.
