HAHA indel. sound like a typical MB housing resident. maybe you're the one who should be removed from the government trough.

Shouldn't be complaining about the treatment you are getting, sounds like they ARE taking the required & necessary steps to treat, be greatful, very few can say the same.
The steps you describe above seem thorough, NOT complete, but thorough.

Wow, I can't believe this Manitoba Housing complex is not listed!

Here at 170 Hendon Ave (A subsidized apartment block in Winnipeg, MB), bedbugs have been a problem for well over 3 years now, if not more. Most of the floors in this building are infested (most notably the 7th, 8th, 5th and 3rd floors)

The way the Manitoba Housing Authority (MHA) is choosing to deal with this is totally unacceptable. Some examples:

* The people MHA employ to spray the apartment block refuse to identify

themselves, show any credentials/certificates or name the chemicals they are using. Also, these people don't even use protective footwear when entering/exiting suites!

* Notice of entry is given 72 hours prior to being sprayed; any tenant who refuses to have their unit sprayed is evicted. The same applies to those being sprayed as a precautionary measure.

* Should a tenant comply, they are asked to move all belongings at least 2 feet from walls, and are asked to vacate for a minimum of 4 hours...UNLESS they have pets, are pregnant, have newborn children, or have respiratory problems...in which case they are asked not to return for 10-12 HOURS.

* The people who spray the units often take the liberty to spray furniture AND bedding without prior consent from the tenant; This has led to major health problems for some, especially the elderly.

I will not name the people responsible directly. However, I am in the process of conducting research on how this operation is being conducted. Once I'm done, I will be contacting every news source in Winnipeg, as well as any politician who will listen and any authority who could help bring about change.

To any MHA property manager who happens to read this: YOUR DAYS AT THE TROUGH OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS AND TAXPAYER DOLLARS ARE NUMBERED.

Thank you for allowing me to post on your website!
