I was looking at the apartment advertisements online and I saw this place that's for rent. Reading the complaints from the tenants at this building, I don't think I will fill out an application to rent this place. The tenancy board should look into this problem reported by the tenants at this place.I wanted to fill out an application to rent this place BUT NOW I don't think I will after reading the reports about the building from the tenants. Hopefully the landlord does something for the tenant'

s concerns.

I moved in February 2019, found myself covered in hives within a couple of months and asked to have my place inspected. Exterminator came to inspect, said he found nothing. I set some sticky traps myself and ended up catching 20 bugs. Had my suite treated, and I found out my neighbours had bugs and weren't bothered to get their suite treated. I'm now covered in bites again (October 2019), and need my suite to be treated again. The entire building is infested based on my conversations with neighb

ours and Sussex doesn't seem to care. They'd rather save a buck than treat all suites, or adjoining suites so the bugs just keep coming back.

One of my neighbors is leaving because of the pests in the building, including bed bugs. Currently dealing with cockroaches and mice in my suite. They sent an exterminator last year, but everything is back. Their building is full of holes, the mice came in my living room from between the wall and the floor. The cockroaches keep coming out of the walls all over the place. My suite doesn't seem to have bed bugs, but it worries me that it could.

They keep raising the rent beyond the max, and I

don't know why they keep getting approved. They raised it this year because they replaced the kitchen cabinets, but the original kitchen cabinets were unusable because of all the mouse poo in them and all the cracks that the cockroaches kept slipping through.

I lived in that block back in 1997. I wasn't aware of bedbugs back then. My girlfriend used to ask where I got the strange red marks on my body. I.didn't know at the time. There was also cockroaches and mice then. They called exterminators and it helped for awhile but they were back 6 months later.

This entire building is infested. There are always beds and furniture by the dumpster. When you report bugs to the landlord, they only fumigate your suite. After the 6th time we needed exterminators we called Sussex Realty to suggest they do the whole building. Their response was " We can't do that until we find out where they're coming from".
They also rely exclusively on a company called Low Cost Exterminators. Enough said!!!!! The problem will never go away. DON'T LIVE HERE!!!!!!

Moved into the apartment this year 2012. I really wish I found this site before hunting for apartments. Lived in this place for a few months. Was suspicious of possible infestation due to itchy bite marks, then one night I had woken up to something crawling across my chest. Turned the lights on there was a bed bug in my wall...Told the care taker they only fumigated my apartment none of The surrounding ones. They hadn't believed me till I found one and shown them. ( idiot exterminators didn't

find any or didn't do thier job) Bed bugs pyschological and emotionally mess with your mind took me months to sleep properly and to stop checking my skin. I had to throw out all my furniture I work so hard to get on my own. And the caretaker had never told me of this problem. Rent at your own risk.

I moved in July 1st 2010 and was not informed when signing the lease that there was bed bugs in the buliding. I found out two days ago there were now bed bugs in my suite and from speaking to my neighbors have learned this has been a constant off and on problem for this building.

We moved in June 1st, 2010 and were only there until mid August, 2010 when we noticed the bites and shortly after found two bugs. The agency did not tell us that the building had bed bugs before we signed the lease and when we signed up a fumigation appointment, the landlord forgot to open the apartment for the exterminator. Sussex Realty does not fumigate the entire building. They only do the apartment that is affected, when a tenant reports the problem.

Bedbugs have nothing to do with cleanliness. This report is from a friend of a tenant at 177 Colony St. whose apartment is infested after living there only 3 months. I would think it is the responsibility of the landlord and the rental company to inform tenants that their building has bedbugs, and when the apartment is treated.
I will look to your "resources" to post natural solutions I have found.

I have lived in this apartment building for six months (since November 2009) and have had my place exterminated three times already. Apparently the people who live around me aren't keeping their places clean. It's getting ridiculous.
