I am the host of this property. To start, the “guests” listed the wrong address. They never, ever stayed in this apartment at anytime. It’s is hoped that this website sees this, as it has limited ways for which owners can communicate.

The other unit was completely inspected by Western Exterminators, a reputable company with more then 80 years experience in Los Angeles.

A very thorough inspection was made by their inspector, whom was unknown to me prior to his appearance. I wi

ll testify in court to this.

If this site allows me to upload the full inspection report I will.

To be clear, the bedbug “guest” was visiting and had been presumably couch surfing on other couches until that night.

If there were bedbugs we would have remediated, but none were found, there were no tiny blood stains anywhere.

There simply were never any bedbugs.

4/1/2021 I booked John’s Airbnb for my coworkers and I for the duration of Apr 19 – May 20, 2021.

4/19/2021 We checked in.

5/11/2021 My coworker found bed bugs bites after he slept on coach in the living room, we texted the Host to report this, we would like to check out at that moment and hoped the host could refund us the rest days’ fee (5/12-5/20). But the host refused to do that and told us he would bring pest control to clean and check next day. So, we remained staying in

John’s house this day.


5/12/2021 The host brought a friend of him and told us there was nothing he could do with bed bug problems, we were free to go but he was not going to refund anything.
We found a hotel to stay and reported it to Airbnb, but Airbnb rep said if the Host refused to refund the rest days, then Airbnb could not do anything on their side.

5/20/2021 The Host sent a threatened message on Airbnb which I have attached below:

“Hi. Am disappointed that you retaliated by leaving all of the lights, air conditioning and fireplace on for more then a week without telling anyone you’d left. Many window blinds were broken totaling $350. I also understand from Airbnb that you were willing to trade a positive review for a partial refund which is in violation of Airbnb guidelines. Therefore, if you attempt a negative review I will do so equally, making future rentals for you difficult, as I am a very skilled writer. Further, the guest who booked the reservation was never at the listing. This is another violation. Please govern yourself accordingly. I look forward to your response for my damages.”

First, He watched us leave on 5/20, so he totally knows about us leaving. Second, he threatened me to not leave any negative review about him. It is hard to believe that as an Airbnb host, John does not try to fix his own problems but tells lies and blames them all on the customers. What’s worse is that he threatens us to only leave good reviews. I feel unsecure and kept wondering how many other people like me would have the same situations with hosts like John. This is very disappointing, please help resolve my report regarding to this matter. I have supporting evidence in my hand
