As it is impossible to prevent bed bugs from being brought in to our hotels, we have experienced isolated instances in the past where a guest has inadvertently brought bed bugs in with them. In these instances, as part of our response protocol, as soon as the situation is brought to our attention we immediately treated the room and surrounding guest rooms. The guest rooms remained unavailable for use until they were inspected and the problem eliminated.

The safety of our guests and the cleanl

iness of our facilities are top priorities. In the rare instance where bed bugs are detected, our protocols call for, among other steps, the immediate removal of the guest room from inventory and the engaging of a pest elimination expert. Our experts follow industry-leading processes to eliminate all life stages of bed bugs from the room by targeting the insect’s unique biology and behavior patterns. The room is not returned to inventory until the pest elimination expert and hotel management are confident the problem has been eliminated.

Our proactive measures for bed bug presence include routine inspection of guest rooms and proper training to identify the signs of a possible presence. Marriott has one of the most comprehensive training programs for employees including how to perform routine inspections and action plans to undertake once an infestation is identified.

I invite you to contact me at the hotel if you can provide us with more information about your stay and these alleged incidents . We encourage all of our guests to report any alleged incidents to us promptly so we can quickly address the situation.

got a bunch of bites on my back and stomach stayed for 2 nights February 25, 26, 27, 2015

I stayed for a weekend conference and woke up the second night with multiple bed bug bites around my neck. When I returned home I went to the Dr and was prescribed an antihistamine. The Dr said the bed bug s were most likely hiding in the pillow.
