I checked in at this hotel on June 5th. On June 14th, I noticed that I had a couple of "bites" that I assumed were mosquito bites. I treated them with anti-itch cream and thought nothing of it. Well, the next morning, I was COVERED with bites. I pulled back the sheet on the bed...and there it was...a bed bug! I had an appointment so I was not able to speak to anyone until later in the day. Of course "Deidra" seemed shocked about the situation and of course, apologized and put me in another

room. Note: The only reason I stayed was because I was checking out the next day and leaving town. The maintenance man found bugs under the mattress and behind the headboard. I don't know why they took so long to find me! Wednesday night was horrible! I itched all over! Even though I took Benadryl before going to bed, I still woke up an hour later ITCHING. I woke up every hour itching and applied anti-itch cream or Caladryl lotion all night long. The reaction was so bad that I had to go to the hospital the next day. (The clinic where I live closes at noon on Friday). I was prescribed a steroid and Keflex. Hotels should be required to treat for bed bugs even if they think they don't have them!
