se it appeared to be a black bug, and I knew that bed bugs were light brown. I squished him with the remote, still in hand, and a huge amount of bright red blood appeared on the sheet. I picked up the shell of the bug with a tissue and noticed that the bug was now a light brown color, all of the blood inside him made him appear darker I guess. I googled images of bed bugs on my iPad and realized that this was indeed a bed bug. I have documented everything with photos and even brought the dead bug home with me to provide proof.
