We chose the Archer hotel as our preferred hotel, The Refinery, was sold out. There was plenty of rooms at The Archer so we booked there...we should have known why it was available. On the first night, both my daughter,Michelle, and my husband, Richard, were bitten multiple times by bugs.
We called the front desk to address this the next day but were dissmissed without care.

All of our luggage has had to be trashed before we arrived home.
Very unpleasant experience and no care by the hotel.

Regarding the post from Itchy in Boston -

Our sincerest apologies for your less-than-perfect stay at Archer Hotel New York. Your comments sparked immediate action from our senior level team members who initiated a thorough investigation of your bed bug concerns using a credible third party pest management specialist. Their results showed no evidence of bed bugs within Archer Hotel. Both of the rooms you occupied, as well as other rooms on that floor were carefully examined and no signs of

bed bugs were found.

If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to call me at 212-719-4100. I would be pleased to speak with you personally.

My family and I arrived at Archer Hotel on January 9 and the GM Michele Mangino was rude and dismissive after we showed the bed bug bites.

During our stay at the Archer Hotel on Dec 26 to Dec 29 (2014) we encountered bed bugs in room 203. Upon our departure we noticed over 50 bites on one of our guests arms and found a bed bug in our luggage.

Our luggage had not been used in many months, so we are sure we did not bring the bed bugs to the Archer Hotel.

The hotel rooms are very small and the staff recommends that you store your luggage under the bed which is a terrible practice with regard to spreading bed bugs. They also

have no storage for clothing except drawers that are also under the bed.
