I stayed there in howard johnson 1300 tonnelle ave northbergen nj on 10/30/15. Upon check in they first sent me to a filthy room that stunk like cigarettes smoke and unvaccumed dirty carpets. I called the front desk & asked for a different room & they sent me to another one with a dirty unvaccumed carpet. Unbearable for us to even consider staying for the weekend. So I went to the front desk to return the key and they said you can check out now or we can give you another room, so I checked the o
ther room and it looked clean, so I called the front desk to thank him for the better room. Then we noticed that the bathroom had a terrible urine stench. At 2:30am I noticed a horrible itching in my body and my wife also, and found a dead bedbug in the bed, and saw a live one on the wall. I called the front desk and they sent some old guy to check it out and he said it wasn't a bedbug and sent to to call the front desk. I called and the lady said you can check out in the morning we don't have anymore rooms, so I immediately checked out. I will never stay at this place again.

At least 5 Bedbugs were found in the bed (small and bigger ones).
We went to the front desk at 1:00 am and the manager sent us to another hotel (Rodeway Inn).

Bedbugs were found on July 19, 2008. Bugs were in the bedsheets, big and small. Management's solution was to change the bed sheets. Had to switch hotels at 2:30 a.m.
