The Westin Southfield takes all bed bug claims very seriously and follows strict protocols for such claims. We immediately called our professional pest control service "Ecolab" out to inspect the room. Their professional service tech completed a thorough inspection of the room and determined it to be "Negative" for bed bug activity. They provided a detailed report of their inspection. We then communicated directly to the guest and provided the findings and reassured them no bed bugs were present

. We also dry cleaned two full suitcases of clothes as a precaution and courtesy. While the charge was mistakingly placed on the room, it was immediately removed.

Rest assured that The Westin Southfield takes aggressive action in preventative measures as well as with guest suspected sightings.

We found a bedbug in the bathroom or room 310. They promised us to wash all of clothes. They brought in an "investigation" team and deemed that we didn't have an infestation. They left us a letter and a bill for over $900 for our clothes which we later got them to take off.

Where there is one bed bug... There is another.
