On October 10, 2014 I checked into the LaQuinta Inn in Florence, KY to attend a business meeting. I went to sleep in room 220 and woke up the next morning. When I left the hotel and arrived home that afternoon, I found myself beginning to scratch and found various bite sites on my arms, hip and legs where I have been bitten. I have gone to the doctor, thrown away my suitcase and purse. I have washed all my clothes. I have been spraying my home every since I came home. I contacted the hotel an

d a manager had responded that they were going to do close off the room from being rented and do a pest control clean up of the room, but no one has contacted me about treating my home, reimbursement of my hotel room or paying for any of my medical bills because of this incident.

I was ready to go bed and looked on pillow and found a huge bedbug!! Room 320

Got settled into the room. I went to bed. When my husband
came to bed, he pulled back to the sheets to get in bed and there was a bed bug.

The girl on duty moved us to another hotel at my request. I did go back to the hotel the next day since the manager had not called me. He said they would reversed points & cover my bill at Homewood Suites.

I appreciated what he did. I am praying we are not taking any home with us. I also praise the Lord that he let my husband see the bug before getting

in bed. As a side note, I did find out that apparently both hotels are owned by the same person / group.

We were in room 109. The girl on duty that might had said they only had them in the "animal" rooms. Ie #s 105, 107 & 109. I knew that was not true which the manager confirmed the next day.

Late August 2011: a guy tells us that he was in a room on the third floor (luckily, we were on the first) and that there were bedbugs in his bed. He shows us his back and it is covered with bites, and he shows us pictures that he took with his phone. They are definitely bedbugs. He tells us that the manager was great. She bought him a new suitcase, bought him stuff to treat the bites, and did his laundry; no cost to the guy. He said that Orkin had been there all day spraying, and that the r

oom will be locked down for about a month. He said he's stayed there many times and this was the only time anything has ever happened. We had a good time there, but I think we'll stay away for a few months.
