Here at the Sleep Inn we take any bed bug complaint with the highest priority. We have started using a canine to inspect rooms every month. This is a very expensive way to detect but when it comes to bed bugs we spare no expense. We have not had a case in almost 2 years but we keep using the canine to insure us as inkeepers and most important our guests piece of mind. Canine detection is the most cutting edge way of detecting bed bugs and most hotels won't use them because of the costs. A normal

human pest control agent might over look a small infestation and their success rate of detecting a small infestation is only around 60%, as the canine success rate in well over 95%. Also our house keepers are also trained in finding the signs and now use LED flash lights to inspect every bed every time they make it. Bud bugs have become an empidomic all over the world and are spreading around like wild fire. No matter how clean your facility is you can still have someone bring them in at any given time. The true best defense is education and here at the Sleep Inn we pride ourselves on being one step ahead of the game.

Stayed at this hotel on Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25, on the night of the 25th found bed bugs in the actual bed, i killed several of them and put 3 in a ziploc bag and took them to the front desk and had the gentlemen at the front desk be very rude to me, we left the hotel immediatly and i called the next day and talked with a manager he said he wasnt having anyone come inspect till Monday June 27, 2011. Worker wasnt alarmed by this and not very helpful in the situation, he kept asking wh

at he was suppose to do for us. Very rude and disgusting.

This is a false report about the Sleep Inn Urbandale. After the guest reported her bites we inspected the room and found no evedense of any bed bugs.

Stayed here night of 08/26/09 and now have many, many bites from bed bugs. I first thought they were in my home but can find none and then remembered staying at this hotel less than a week ago (I\'ve had the bites a few days now). The room had mold growing in the bathroom ceiling (not the caulk, the actually ceiling), was very musty, and though it seemed clean other than that I was still unsure. My instincts were right, I\'m covered in bed bug bites...
