Around Thanksgiving 2009, my family checked in to the Country Inn Suites (church street). My dad and mom bought me a room next to theirs (suite 215). I saw 1 adult bedbug crawling across the bed when I went to lay down. I reported it to the manager and he denied that they had bedbugs. I told him that I noticed they has the plastic coverings over the mattress which means they had a problem before now.
He was very nasty and got upset. I did not stay there and he gave my dad his money bac
k for my room. My dad stayed there and a few months later, he got them in his home.
I tried to warn them but no one listened. Bedbugs are big big issue. Hotels should be honest so that people are not put in harms way. It should be a law that requires you to report if you have them. My dad spent way more than the cost of a room.
