On January 31, 2020, in room 318, I found a bedbug in about the 3rd or 4th stage nymph (about 2.5-3 mm) crawling on the wall above the vent around 6:40am. I took photos and also killed the bug in a tissue. There was blood in the tissue.
I was also bitten but the bites did not surface until a few hours later post-my second flight, which upon reading material, it's possible that bites don't show up until 24 hours after the incident. I was bitten in several places on one side of my body.
I no
tified the front desk and the lady did not take me seriously. I asked to speak to a manager and she said I'd have to wait until 9am. She sent maintenance to 'investigate' and took about 10-15 minutes for him to show up. He was very kind and apologetic unlike the lady at the front desk.
Finally after 9am, I was given access to the housekeeping manager. She apologized and explained next steps. I appreciated her demeanor, however was overall disappointed with their final response to the situation. They would not say definitively whether the bug I caught and killed was a bedbug. She only emphasized the exterminators said 'there was no additional activity found in the room' and that she would only refund the one night. The room would be put back in service the next day.

April, 2019. Found a bedbug at this hotel. The hotel had a visual inspection performed over 2 days later. Over. Two. Days. Visual inspection, according to pest control experts, is least likely to find them. I have photographic evidence of the bug in their room, at their hotel.
Don’t stay here unless there’s absolutely no other place to stay. By far, the worst experience I have ever encountered with the Hilton brand. Run, do not walk, away from here and find any other place to stay. Serious

Hello,
In regards to the report of bed bugs in room 728 by our guest , we were not aware of it until today 09/23/2015. This was not reported to us nor we were aware until this registry was brought to my attention. Embassy Suites Savannah Airport and Hilton Hotels worldwide have very strict protocols should such incidents be reported to be checked thoroughly by a professional pest extermination service. We pride in ensuring such reports are dealt with immediately. As of date we have not had any
report from our valued guests about bed bugs . ORKIN PEST CONTROL who were our Pest control company where very thorough in that aspect. We currently have Yates Astro Pest Control as our Pest extermination provider and as of date we have not had a single complaint or issue about bed bugs from room 728. Nevertheless,we will however have the room checked by our Pest Control Company to ensure that we do not have an issue
