I stayed at this La Quinta 5/27/14 through 5/30/14 while travelling in the area for business. I have stayed at this very location several times over the past 10 years without a problem. However, during this stay, I encountered bedbugs for the first time in my life.
I wasn't aware of the infestation until the day I checked out, Friday, 5/30/14. That is when I noticed the red welts and the itching. I noticed small redish shaped objects in the bed as well as small blood stains. The red objects
were moving and I caught 2 or 3 and put them in a plastic drink cup.
I took this cup downstairs to the clerk on duty who verified that they were indeed bedbugs. She photographed the welts on my hands and arms then after consulting with someone in another office, advised me that a report had been filed with their corporate headquarters and that I would not be charged for any of my stay.
Unfortunately, I do not recall the room number and I just became aware of this site--otherwise I would have reported this earlier.
