I stay at Motel 6's while driving from Oregon to Florida and back each year with my pet. In the past 3 years, I have stayed 22 times at Motel 6's while traveling and have mostly been satisfied with the value I've received, with the exception of two units that were not up to par. My last night on my trek cross country, which was Sunday, November 15th, 2020, I stayed at this Motel 6 in Room 152, Dothan, Alabama and woke with a few bites which my first thought was that a mosquito had gotten in th

e room. By that afternoon while driving I began to itch along my right upper arm and shoulder. An entire area as large as a softball on my shoulder was hot and swollen with visible bites. Years ago, my elderly mothers condo got infested with bedbugs and having stayed at her place a few nights, I got bit at that time. I had a very bad reaction to the bites then with the same intense swelling, redness and itching, so I knew exactly what had gotten me this time.
I called the motel to report the bedbugs in this room the morning of Tuesday, 11/17 and was told that the manager would be giving me a call. Since I didn't receive a call, I called again on Wednesday afternoon and the gal said that she sees my name and number with a message about the bedbugs and for him to call me. I asked if he was in and she said yes.I thought surely I would hear back from him that day. Well, it is Friday and I still have not been contacted.

Covered in bedbug bites then saw one of the critters crawl on my luggage...captured it and gave to hotel that confirmed it was a bedbug and gave me a room refund..but the damage done...bites on my face and shoulders and on a long term travel trip so paranoid of tracking them all over...and cannot stop itching but definate bedbugs even confirmed by hotel manager.
