We currently live in 220 Woolner Ave building and it's one of the worst there is due to the Management " Tivoli Towers " only doing modifications on the building itself and not the units.

The whole building is full of Roaches and Mice and the managment will not address the situation because it is too much money to bomb the whole building to get rid of the Roaches and Mice.

We have lived here 2 years now and it's the worst we have ever lived in. The management NOW has become racists and ign

orant with there attitude. They only want Portugues peiople living there and are bullying poeple who are not to move out.

Thhey call it Luxury Suits and yet you have to share it with Roaches and Mice. They jacked up there rent from $950.00 for a one bedroom apartment to $1150.00 now just because they say it's fully renovated and has stainless steal appliances.

But yet the bugs are still there living with you. NOISE COMPLAINTS from other neighbors fall on deaf ears. You hear your neighbors living on top of you. The flooring is thin even though they say it's a quiet building which is not true. Police is constanly there also.

The management owners Maria and Manuel are liars and cannot be trusted because they come to you in your face with a smile and if they don't like you they let you move in then stab you in your back and try to bully you to leave.

STAY AWAY FROM THE HELL HOLE and invest your money into a building that is clean with better management. And yes the neighboring buildings around the area here are also infested with roaches and mice also. So just beaware when looking in the woolner ave area.

The Apartments on Woolner Avenue(220 especially) are disgusting!

I Moved into a unit in August of 2014 and during the first afternoon there as i was cleaning and I began finding dead cockroaches. 3 hours later I began finding live cockroaches.. everywhere and anywhere I turned.

I spoke to the Land Lady and she said I should not leave food out. I told her I had not eaten a single meal or piece of food in that apartment. She then suggested that they spray again for bugs. (when I first look

ed at the unit she said they never needed to spray because the building was clean, so I caught her in a lie)I told her it is obvious the building is infested and that the problem is ignored and that the tenants are very unclean.

I moved out the next day! Due to the cockroaches and my fear of taking any with me, I was forced to abandon my bed, TV and several other items cockroaches are known for hiding in.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THAT BUILDING! SERIOUSLY! FIND A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER TO STAY WITH!

I moved into 220 woolner on September of 2010. I lived there until October 2013. Living there was one of my happiest moments in life. I've lived in smaller shittier places before AND AFTER UNFORTUNATELY for me..... fact is every building in the city will have all kinds of bug infestations you can think about, its just a matter of how much of it are you seeing based on how clean you keep your place. I had about four or less single bed bugs the whole time I was there and I can tell you exactly why

- its because I pay attention to where I've been, that could play a factor in infesting my own home. I brought them there in other words. And have definitely learned my lesson! I have few friends therefore i didn't have guests over frequently. (They could carry bed bugs on them). I sealed off every inch of baseboard to floor in the two bedroom apartment. An old friend taught me that. Do it right after moving in. Windows if you have to. As for the front door-gauges all around. Fortunately for me, I have never really had to come face to face with monster cockroaches (except in jamaica) :-) canadian roaches have nothing on those fuckers (they fly). But I'm pretty sure every night I walked the length of the 2nd floor hallway I would see one about an inch long. Dead or alive (right outside a utility panel in the center). I believed they lived there. But as long as they stay away from me, we were cool...lol. I've never seen rats (thank god!!!), or anything else worse. Maybe never saw a spider either. Their harmless anyway. The only bugs that really bothered me were the ones strolling in from my balcony from time to time. Little nameless creatures that you can't describe. They give me the creeps.....but also harmless. Not to mention having two cats that kinda gave birth to a litter a few times. (No ticks, mites or fleas!!!) Before i moved out, they tore down the balconies - concrete and all, and built new ones. My apartment was gorgeous (fully renovated) looked freshly done but I'm smart enough to know that I wasn't the first person in there after the Reno. Management was 20 times better than my current place, a year here now ain't jack shit done so far. But at woolner, the turn around was about a month because at one point only one guy was doing all the maintenance. ( That's impressive to me considering 2000 tenants.) I didn't have much respect for the management company (they were a little shady) its a different one now...but they stayed out of my shit, which is all I asked for...same with my neighbors. Woolner has a bad rep for good reason, but it ain't the worst place to live. I know, because I'm living it now...but if you choose to call it home, that's what it will be. Btw. I've never been bothered by anyone and I'm a young attractive woman. So cheers to happiness!!!

Ive done many apartment renos at the woolner buildings. The grossest I've ever seen! They dont just ave roaches, but giant, hissing cockroaches. Some were twice the size of a large bic lighter. One unit had a tub completely covered in dead roaches, with the drain drain serving as a roach highway. The empty unit used for storage was so covered in dead roaches you couldn't see the floor, it was like an indiana jones movie. Of course, if you live on woolner, getting robbed or shot are probably your

biggest concerns lol

I lived in this building for many years and barely had any problems with Rouches or bed bugs. The inside suites are well renovated and surprisingly nice with already painted walls and new laminate flooring. As for bedbugs they can be spread from anywhere, it's not a dirt issue. You can bring them from a 5 star hotel or even new condo suites. The management here have always responded at a reasonable time for maintenance. And people should stop exaggerating how bad the buildings are.

Well were do i start i would like to let any one who is thinking of moveing to 220 or 230 woolner to think againg. If you have kids the belconys are missing panels which they can fall off. Jennifer - idk about 200 but you definitely get what you pay for when you rent at Woolner . cheap rent = shitty living

Does anyone happen to know if the 200 Woolner building is like this ?
I don't see any reports on it but I might be moving into the apartment sometime this summer . July/August

What do you guys recommend ?

3rd floor
This building is disgusting! I moved in sept of 2010 and thank god only have a year lease (its been a miserable 10 months ) because the minute i moved in there were problems with cockroach infestation in my apartment. They're small but enormous ones found in the halls! Not to mention the fact we now have bed bugs. Like the previous poster said expect to have your water turned off twice a month sometimes without notice. Expect to have false fire alarms once a month. Also expect for the

outside of the building to look like a welfare garage sale all year long. People spit in the elevators and throw garbage everywhere. This building is in bad shape. The stairs are almost rotted through and the halls are dirty. The building needs to be torn down, condemned, something!
I don't wish this apartment on anyone, be careful where u rent

you may not see bed bugs yet or have them, but they are there. they may not have gotten to your apartment yet but they will. when i lived there the problem started on the 5th floor. cockroaches there are, when i lived there i would see them up to the size of almost 3 inches in length on the first floor down the halls to the back doors of the building. i had actually captured one in the past to show to the management and they still did nothing about it. my advice to you is if you can

i would try to move as soon as you can, after all you dont want to get bedbugs. its an awful situation to have to deal with exspecially with a management that does absalutely nothing about it. i lost out on thousands of dollars in replacing my furniture and cauking tubes and mattress covers to try and protect us when we were there. i just wouldnt want to see another innocent person have to be cursed by the negativity of woolner. good luck. :)

No bed bugs for us.. Have been living on 5th floor since Sept 2010.
Cockroaches, yes. The other tenants are filthy and throw food on the garbage shoot room floor and elevator. Management is a joke. If you move into this building, or any of the other Woolner buildings, expect your water being turned off without notice (frequently), bugs, domestic fights nextdoor and constant fights with management.

this building is disturbing. i recently moved along with a lot of other people at this building. i had to throw away thousands of dollars of belongings. not to mention hundreds of dollars in laundry. I lived on the 5th floor but spoke to other tenants that lived/live on the 6th and 4th floor and they have/had them too. this building management doesn't do anything about the problem. it makes me sick when i see new people, innocent people moving in and they don't know about the massive problem. DO

NOT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING. there is not only bedbugs as a huge problem. there is cockroaches even ones i have seen that at inches long. its not a nice place. don't get fooled by the units looking all fresh and new. it will be great at first but will kick you super hard in the ass in the end.

tenent surrounding my apartment had them, now my unit and others on my floor has them along with on the 5th 6th and apparently the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors (keep in mind this is a 9 floor building). i have had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of furniture and belongings. i have lost sleep and have become paranoid over this disturbing infestation. management does not take proper measures to rid these pests of our homes. they need to be evacuating the entire building and use a heating sourc

e in all the units to get rid of these evil vampire bugs and that it must be mandatory to all tenents to vacate the premises at the managements expense. i will be moving out of this building and taking all proper measure to make sure i will not be bringing any of these "F'ers" with me. this building should be torn down. not only are bed bugs an issue there are cockroaches that i have seen up to 3 inches in length. the laundry room never has all of the machines in working condition at one time, i have had belongings stolen from me in the laundry room. not to mention the ignorant neighbors all over the building blaring music at many hours of the day and night. people spit in the elevators and have no respect for the other people who live in the building. should i even mention the bad crime in this area? lets just say in a span of 2 years of living in this building there has been at least 6 shootings surrounding my home. DO NOT MOVE IN THIS BUILDING YOU WILL BE SORRY.

i had bed bugs and the bilding spreid for them. but they come back just same, but this time is more! i loose over 7000 dolars in furnitur and cloths. i no pay 1 months rent and now they sue me! this bilding is very dirty and peeple no keep this bilding cleen. bed bugs is only 1 problem here.

This ENTIRE BUILDING IS INFESTED with BED BUGS. I reported my problem about 1 month ago and the owners of the building have refused to spray or treat my unit and furniture because they are having "management issues". I called Toronto Public Health and an inspector came out but said I didn't have ENOUGH dead bed bugs! How many is enough???? Did he think we were biting ourselves? If that were the case, then I might suggest he bite me too!
I have now spoken with the tenants on the 6th, 7th, 8th an

d 9th floors and have reports from 20 units with bed bugs! And that is just from the ones who answered the knock on their door. I am also aware that there is a problem on the 5th floor. I plan to eventually speak with everyone from the 1st to the 5th floor as well.
I found that, unfortunately, many people are misinformed. They think that simply getting rid of their furniture will rid themselves of the problem. They do not realize that the bed bugs are in the walls and in the hallway carpets travelling from unit to unit. I have provided info for these people that I printed at my own cost in order to educate them. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING! The units are spacious, but the bed bugs, roaches, and other unidentified bugs and vermin are PLENTIFUL!!!!!
