I visited two buildings with prospects to rent on this strip, both belonging to Metcap. While I was in the office a tenant was complaining about a roach infestation. While visiting two apartments I smelled what I identify as roach spray (unfortunately I know the smell). The strip was littered with mattresses outside the buildings indicating a bed bug infestation throughout. STAY AWAY, needless to say I will not be renting, though the area has been cleaned up a lot.

so bad stay away from any apartment on Jameson. Metcap is the worst, after moving, they tried to sue us because they couldn't get a tenant stupid enough to live in this bedbug and roach infested place. Management is incredibly incompetent, told potential tenants they were raising rent so that they could try and sue for an extra month's rent. buildings are owned by investors who hire metcap to maintain their property and profit. repairs are never made, bed bug problem is never solved.. seriously,
stay away from this place or any apartment on Jameson Av. it's bad news

Is there anyways this can be brought to the publics attention? Newspaper? Media? All the metcap apartments are un liveable! Very infested with every kind of bug! Bed bugs being the worst ive done alot of research and if you can find bed bugs crawling accross your floor in pure daylight you have a severe infestation! People are using there hard earn money to pay for a place to live and while i admit rent on jameson seems to be cheaper then most places it does not mean people have to live like th
is!! These buildings need to be condemed there is somethig we all can do since metcap will not listen or fix their building and your right people piss in the elevators not to mention a ton of junkies and some screaming lady very once and a while saying someone beating her call the cops.. Maybe if they cleaned up these building they would attract different people but something needs to be done soon!! Wen youve had over 50 bed bug bites on you constantly for 6 months with majout illergic reaction there is a problem and maybe i should send metcap my medication bills ive been getting simply to aid in my bad illergic reaction to bed bug bites!!!!!!!!

There are bedbugs on the third floor, as well as cockroaches. They run through the hallways and sneak under doors, no matter what you spay or how well you try to seal it. The management is a pure system of baldly done bureaucracy, they all act stupid when you try to talk to them about a problem. This building needs to be demolished. I came in with new furniture and three weeks later i was covered in red blotches, bed bugs running around in the middle of the day. The management refused to let me
break my lease, they told me they would spray my unit and that they did not care about any of the psychological effects the issue was having on me. I spoke to Jack Cohen, the overfed owner of many shitty apartments like this one who sits in an office far away from jameson and has nothing better to do than talk to me on the phone for half an hour. I demended he come live in my apartment for a day and he said "absolutely not". this man has no dignity, he is a sham, and he is perfectly happy to let people live in sub human conditions in order to suck them dry of rent money.
the bed bugs appeared suddenly and i have no doubt that they simply have various nests and hiding spots deep in the walls of this poorly maintained peice of trash, that no spaying will ever reach.

I moved out in May and was SO fing happy to leave. The management pretend like they don't understand you or English in general, they never fix pest problems including the welfare refugee ones... THERE ARE MICE, RATS, COCKROACHES, FLEAS, BEDBUGS - you name it, 146 Jameson has it. So does all the other Metcap buildings.Metcap took a good fence down that kept all the people on King St away from the window and refused to put it back. Never told anyone.. The basements have mice which management prete
nds don't exist. They say they will order pest control but only treat 1 apt and leave the rest so that the problems can come into your unit again - no matter how clean you are.
People piss in the hallways, shit in front of your window if you are in the dreaded basement units. Hungarians hang outside the front door like they have weapons but smoke drugs and bring bed bug furniture in the building. I took my children out and had to use another entrance because there was a huge puddle of blood right in the front entrance. It was not cleaned up for several days..
Management will try to coerce you into staying your entire lease... don't listen to them. Don't even fill out the application.
BREAK YOUR LEASE. DON'T SIGN ONE. If you already live there get out of there and don't even think about renting it if you don't. Metcap are useless and will make your life a living hell. Our family is so fortunate to get out of that building.

Never had an issue with bedbugs when I lived here in 2006-7, but there were roaches everywhere. Apparently they came from some nasty tenant in the basement when he moved out because I was there almost a year issue free. Or so they told me at the time! Gel poison did noting except make a huge mess for me to clean up. 20 dead roaches alone under my fridge. Caught 5 live ones in my cat's food dish...yuck.
Laundry machines unreliable (if you can find one not in use) at best.
To boot the next d
oor Neighbour was very noisy. Put a sofa out in the hall for 3 kids to play on (3 kids and 2 adults in a one bedroom apartment, that should tell you something).Loud music at all hours.
... management did NOTHING. I was THRILLED to move out. save yourself the grief, do not move here!

Moved into this building last July. Management waited until we had unpacked all of our things and assembled our new furniture before sending someone to spray for bedbugs.
The were odd encounters and sleepless nights here and there, but coming into this Spring, the bedbugs have been constant.
The building is full of very filthy people who only make the problem worse. The whole place is a write-off. Don't even risk it.

There are definite problems with some of the units in this building. I have lived here in November and although there were incidents of bedbugs in other units, there are no problems as of this date.

LOTS OF BEDBUGS, MICE, COCKROACHES AND MORE. HAVEN'T BEEN HERE LONG AND WE ARE READY TO MOVE. NO MATTER WHAT THE MANAGEMENT SAYS, THIS PLACE IS BAD!!! CRACKHEADS SMOKE DRUGS WITH THEIR DOORS OPEN AND SPREAD THE RATS AND BEDBUGS. LANDLORDS WON'T FIX OR EVICT PROBLEM TENANTS.
THEY PROMISE TO FIX THE ISSUE BUT EITHER DON'T DO IT OR ONLY TREAT YOUR APARTMENT WHILE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE MICE AND BUGS RUNNING AROUND. THEY EVENTUALLY COME BACK INTO YOUR APARTMENT AND METCAP DOESN'T D

Mice, bugs, large bugs with many legs, bugs with large antennae.
Management seems friendly at first and will try to lure you in saying there have been no reports and that everything is clean - They are liars!
I have asked them so many times for maintenance and to inspect my apartment and they were useless. Even pest control is useless.
Apt 101 & 102 are the worst!
I left my lease after 3 months!

Lived here since August.
This building is not clean. The builders have done such a poor job. They keep repainting walls but the gaps along the trims were never filled in. I've seen too many large creepy crawlers on the wall, along with tiny spiders and potato bugs.
In October, I must have found/killed 10 mice.
Do no live here or anywhere West of King & Dufferin.

Do not lease an apartment. BEWARE.
This bulging is full of bedbugs. I was living on the forth floor for a year. Oh my GOD!!!
I could not imagine that a small bedbug can affect my life so much.

I moved in to this building mid winter, and started getting bitten within days. The units above, adjacent on all sides and below had been infested for months and the supers were aware. Treatment was repeatedly attempted at my insistence, but inefective.
