Never rent here the building should be
demolished ,its invested with bedbugs&roaches.The landlord gives false information of the building condition.What a slum landlord he only does repairs when reported to the city & forced to repair.Do your research about bedbugs on any building on vaughan rd,thank god for this site or i would have to throw out everything again.Remember the landlord is very wealthy& only cares about the rent. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.


THE LANLORD ED DOES NOT SUPPLY ENOUGH HEAT.PAYS WOMAN TO SHUT HEAT ON&OFF AT 6AM FOR 2.5HRS &AT 7PM FOR 2.5HRS AGAIN HE DOES LIMITED REPAIRS NEXT TO NONE.BEWARE OF MOVING IN HERE.DOES NOT DO PROPER BUG CONTROL& DONT FORGET LOTS OF HEATERS.DONT LET THE SOFT SPOKEN GUY FOOL LIKE HE DID TO ME.


This apartment building is a nightmare. The landlord is disarmingly soft spoken and friendly. He gives the impression that he is interested in making the building better, but ultimately he never does. He calls the "laundry room" in the basement his "passion project" because it hasn't been useable in my entire year of living here, and has been under reconstruction for years.
Originally, he showed me a nicer unit in the building, so I signed. Last minute he changed the units, and in the one I ha

d now rented, I found all kinds of damages. For example, a hole in the wall that had been covered with duct tape and then painted over, or cupboards that don't close, a stove that doesn't work. After almost a year here, we found bed bugs. I have had to throw out half of my belongings, he has offered me some laundry change.
Never NEVER rent here. It's just not worth it.
This is the worst building I have ever been in, after 18 years of renting in this city.

I lived here for 6 months. The landlord is nice, but very passive. I believe he is trying to maintain the building, but lacks the knowledge to do so properly. He always responded to complaints, but never quite took the correct steps to fix the problems. I had been warned by others in the building about bedbugs there, but never saw any in my apartment, despite seeing mattresses junked on the lawn nearly every week. The issues I encountered while living there were : 1 rat (pest control called and

problem never recurred); cockroaches (pest control sprayed, but that amounted to the guy walking in, spritzing poison in the air twice then walking out) - the cockroaches were out of control by the time I left; multiple water pipe problems (including a few floods of disgusting water); police constantly in the area responding to known domestic disturbances as well as what I speculate were drug busts; thin walls and some loud neighbours. I will not demonize the landlord, since I think he is a nice guy who is just poorly equipped to deal with managing the property, but I would advise people to avoid renting here.

Moved in in December and by Febuary we had a full out bed bug infestation. The landlord brought in pest control but they did a really poor job and only spent about 5 minutes spraying the apartment. After a few visits from them we decided to hire our own. The company we hired did a great job and we haven't had any issues with bed bugs since.
The landlord is very passive when it comes to repairs and issues. He hires really bad contractors and workers and the job never gets done properly and defi

nitely never on the first attempt.

I moved in straight out of University, encountered a few large bites on my neck three months into living at the address. Cleaned apartment thinking that they were Spider bites. Then a few monthes later started getting tonnes and tonnes of bites and could not figure out what this was. Until I saw a brownish/redish oval bug on my daughters bed around 4am. I was forced to throw out all my furniture and keep all my precious items in storage for close to two years. My items are still in storage. I ha

d my apartment sprayed professionally twice and I continued to perform spray treatments but the issue would not dissapear. This building also has no heat in half the units, noisy, drug addicts and alcoholics, break ins, water leaks from ceilings and water is not drinkable. Landlord acts passive but does nothing for his tenants.
