Two years ago there was a large infestation in the upper bedroom. The landlord sprayed some raid in the corner and when we insisted he take proper action, he refused, so we told him we were breaking the lease and gave our notice. Slowly the bugs made their way down to the rooms on the second floor. He showed the apartment to other tenants while we were still there, with no intention of doing anything about the bugs. We did our best to discourage people looking, but it was eventually rented. I wouldn't be surprised if this same story has been repeated since with other tenants.
