had bed bugs in the apartment when moving in. I didn't realize until I had left for a month or so and when I got back, I went to relax on my bed... until I saw this mysterious bug crawling around on my bed.....
Realized that everything that accidentally got stashed under my bed was INFESTED with little tiny baby bed bugs. Hundreds of them. Disaster.
I had to go downstairs and tell the management. They sprayed and steam cleaned the apartment, and I filled all the cracks
in my bedroom walls with caulken. They are no longer visible but I dont believe they have left. Dont move into this building, as there are about 20 apartments per floor, and there are 33 storeys, that totals 660 apartments, and it is safe to assume that there are approximately 3 people living in each apartment, thats almost 2000 people for the bedbugs to feed off of!! DONT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I lived at 260 Wellesley Street East for only a vary brief period of time from 2004. During the time that I lived there I developed a rash and itching that was horrible. When I went to the doctor he told me that it was bedbugs. I eventually moved out of the apartment because of the bugs, as well as cockroaches and an insane roommate. When I moved I discarded my bed and my sofa and purchased new for my new residence. As soon as I moved the itching did not continue. The rent at 260 Wellesley was v
ery attractive as I was moving from a small town but it is like the old saying goes "If it seems too good to be true it probably is"
I moved into this building Feb 2008 and have had bed bugs at least twice a year, in June 2010 the people in the apartment above us moved out and the building renovated the apartment they were really bad then they spread down to out apartment. Everytime we put a order in with the building they did a steam the day before the spary and within 6 month they were back. IF YOU THINK ABOUT MOVING INTO THIS BUILDING DONT!!!!
The rent is good for the location and the size of the apartment but it will c
ost you more because you have to throw out everything and replace it and it will just get damaged again and the tenants in the building are PIGS!!
AGAIN TRUST US...DONT MOVE HERE OR YOU LIFE WILL BE A LIVING HELL!!!
from 2004-2008 i had bedbugs in this building. i was too embaressed to tell the management. upon moving out of this building, i had to throw out almost all of my belongings. i sprayed with insectide from the hardware store many times from 2004 to 2008 and this never did anything. this building is a huge mess, and bedbugs are just the beginning of the problems there.

At the end of August 2009, I found mysterious rash first on my right arm. I thought it was because I was allergic to the wood - we bought a brand new wooden bed frame when we moved in in July. Then I exchanged with my husband. Strange enough, this time my right arm. I went to see a doctor and he said it must be bugs - no allergy can appear in a line! then I realized I fed these vampires for a month, or probably 2 months! We reported immediately to the management and they sent a pest control guy
after a week. Now it's been three weeks and I was bitten again the day before. We are doing what we can do to eradicate the bugs - launder and dry all clothes, spray everyday. but I've been suffering from isomnia!! We are even thinking of abandoning our brand new bed and mattress! We hope we can save our bed, even for a few months. When we leave, for sure, we'll throw it with a label on it "Bedbugs". It's frustrating - all our furniture is new, we really don't want to just leave them behind.
My roomate and I recently noticed that we had bed bugs. We spoke to the landlord on July 28 and they informed us that we would have to get the apartment sprayed at our own expense. We are very clean people and have invested a small fortune in sprays but it doesn't seem to curbe the issue. If anyone is thinking of living here, I would stongly reccomend thinking twice about it. This place is utter hell.

In April 2009, I noticed I had bed bugs. That freaked me out. I told management and they sent someone to spray. I threw away so much stuff (an entire library, wooden bed frame, clothes) and had all my clothes washed by a professional bed bug place. That was $500. The first time didn't get rid of them so the building had the spray guy come again. I'm not sure if that worked either. I put down Diatomaceous Earth (DE). That stuff works on bed bugs and roaches, fleas, etc. It takes a few days
but has worked as far as I know. I haven't been bitten for quite awhile. But those critters live a long time and how can I be sure that they're gone? I'm trying to move but I'm afraid that I'll take them with me. I'm leaving my couches and other wooden pieces behind.
I found DE in Canada at: http://www.diatomitecanada.com/diatomite-retail.htm.
Read up on it. People are even putting a spoonful of DE (food grade) in their tea or whatever, and drinking it. Anyway, check it out on the 'net.
