I walk by this place everday on the way home and there are very often mattresses outside. I've been affected by bedbugs before and know the signs now. Looking at the mattress amounts, Im sure there must be a problem. It is a small unit, and there almost always is a new mattress outside.

As of 2012, there continues to be an ongoing bedbug issue. The landlords have dealt with having the units sprayed and are accommodating, but the issue still exists. Beware!

The Apartments were recently renovated. The Superintendent and Owners are proactive in dealing with any and all concerns of tenants. The apartments are treated @ move in and certified by armour pest control. Tenants concerns are attended to forthwith.

The treatment of bedbug infestions in Ontario is the financial and maintenance responsibility of the landlord. How the bedbugs get into a unit is not considered a relevant factor. Tenants must prepare their units and then landlords must treat for bedbugs and pay for the treatment cost.
Bedbugs can get into a unit by coming from other units via conduits and cracks in the walls, and recent studies have shown a large number of infestations can be caused by bedbugs walking out of an apt under t
he apt door, into the hallway, and then under the doors of other apts.
Anybody can get bedbugs, as they hitch-hike easily, and getting bedbugs does not indicate that a person has been negligant, or that they are at fault.
If there were bedbugs in a unit at 178 Hampton, then it is appropriate to post this fact.

Please remove this address from your list. By Cicilia's own admission, Cecilia has lived in the apartment for 1 year before alleged discovery of bed bugs. If it was in the apartment she would have been aware of it immediately, or shortly thereafter. The fact that she found only couple is an indication that it was brought to the apartment recently by Cecilia. It is easy to blame the landlord even if they are proactive. Cecilia's ann the other apartments were recently totally renovated to eliminat
e Cecilia's bed bugs.

I have lived in the apt building for about a year, a few weeks back I was getting ready to go out when I noticed something dark on the bed so I picked it up and realized it was a dead bedbug. After further inspection I found one other bed bug (this one was alive) I immediately vacuumed the bed and called the landlord.
I had purchased a mattress that can't be penetrated by bugs so I was lucky. The next day pest control fumigated the apartment.
Tough they worked, the chemicals they sprayed real
ly affected my health! For the rest of the week I had problems breathing, It was aweful.
I didn't have anymore problems with bed bugs, pest control found no activity, I think i got lucky and noticed the problem when I started.
Other three apartments got badly infected. Two of them have to throw everything out cause it was so bad. They already left the building...
I'm not waiting around, I'm moving at the end of the month. :)
