It was either November 2013 or January 2014 and I was waiting to be checked out of the Comfort Inn. A man came down with bites on his face. They were raised, red and in a cluster of three. I knew someone who'd had bed bugs and the bites were almost identical. He was agitated, and said his room had bed bugs The front desk sent someone to check who came back very very quickly, to say that they'd checked, and there were no bedbugs. I phoned today (November 4, 2014) to ask if they had had bed bu
gs. Front desk said no. I told her what I'd witnessed, and asked if there were any precautions in place, like regular room checks and mattress protectors. Hotels, regardless of how high end, get them. The issue is not whether they've had them, but what action they took, and what preventative measures are in place. And of course, whether they have them now. She transferred me to a manager, who never picked up the phone.

Was staying Jan 7&8 2011. Just as we were going to bed, I saw a bedbug on the pillow. I grabbed it, put it in a glass and took it to the front desk. My daughter had a couple of bites on her arm.
Was shocking in light of me checking the mattress when we arrived and after locating the bug and not see signs of their existence.
Hotel was good about it, moved us to another room and did not charge us for our stay
