I have been having issues for about 6 months with bedbugs. One doctor said I had them after I had welts all over my body. I thought she was crazy, so I went to another doctor, who said it was not, but after being on medication for over a month now and the bites seem to be getting worse, I finally called the city and reported this problem.

After finding this site, I am blown away at how disgusting this whole neighborhood is and it seems like I am surrounded with places that have bedbug infestations. Disgusting to say the least, especially at the rate of the rent in New York.

Sounds like this is a head ache of a problem and sucks big time.

All I can say is do not move here if you have an option elsewhere and aside from that, a lot of these bed bugs are being transmitted from places in Africa as well as the caribbean, which is the majority of people that make up the population in this neighborhood.

They have also brought other insects with them as well, I have reason to believe.

Landlords should be ashamed to put tenants in apts and charge rent for buildings where this is an issue, but of course in New York, people do not have much sense of integrity anyhow.

I am not done dealing with HPD on this matter. I am irate to have found all this out and the exterminator, if you can call him that (I have never seen any license) did not spray the furniture at all.

I am completely freaked out how toxic this stuff could be. Maybe even worse than the bedbugs themselves on my skin.

I have not seen any bedbugs persay, only had the nasty bites, which are everywhere.

Disgusting!!
