My downstairs neighbors had bedbugs this past fall which we were not informed about until December 2007 which kind of irked me. I'm not sure how long they had had them. They had two exterminations and our landlord, who also lives in the building, finally called in a bedbug specialist and checked the other apartments in the building. Luckily the bedbugs were contained and eradicated from the one apartment. Apparently we're free and clear and I feel incredibly lucky.
