Are there still bed bugz there?
Bed Bugs Suck on 07/07/2012
Bed bugs hatching in the walls on first floor, do not move in to this building. In two years I've had shit flood in from faulty plumbing, multiple storm floods and now bed bugs. Some of the worst land lords possible who prey on young people's desperation and provide incredibly negligent service to their tenants.

BED BUGS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!! GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS BUILDING. THE LANLORD SCAMS ALL YOUNG ARTISTS AND STUDENTS. HE WILL SAY ANYTHING TO YOU, JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY. HE WILL PROMISE YOU THAT THE BED BUGS WILL BE GONE, BUT THEY ARE HERE. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE. THIS ENTIRE BUILDING IS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. THEY LIVE IN WOOD, THE WALLS... EVERYWHERE. MCKIBBEN IS AN AWESOME PLACE, I'VE MET MANY BEAUTIFUL SOULS HERE, HOWEVER THIS IS A NOT A COOL LIVING ENVIRONMENT. THE LANLORD SHOULD BE TH
ROWN IN JAIL, WHAT HE IS DOING IS ILLEGAL. YOU CAN NOT RENT OUT A BUILDING THAT IS COMPLETELY INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. THINK TWICE BEFORE MOVING HERE. AND IF YOU ARE HERE, GET THE FUCK OUT. THE BED BUGS ARE NOT GOING AWAY!!!!!!!!! WE'VE TRIED FOR MONTHS! LOOK ELSEWHERE AND DO NOT TRUST WHAT ANYONE SAYS.

I submitted that last report on "06/03/2011"
Just want to give some more detail: I am on the 5th floor, but this building seems to have a running problem because of so many young people living here and no one is very responsible. The building management has been very helpful with providing an exterminator. If you're going to move here anyway then at least ask a lot of questions and TALK TO THE NEIGHBORING APARTMENTS about bedbugs.

Don't move here you fool. This place is as bad as ever. Getting eaten alive here.

I'm moving in to 255 McKibbin. Are there still bedbug problems there? Especially on the 4th floor.

I just got off of the elevator and saw a mattress, box spring, comforter and sheets haphazardly thrown into the hall. On the ride up the kid that lived down the hall said his roommates had been calling him all day to say that they think they had bedbugs. As of right now, the mattress is still in the hall.

Bedbugs everywhere, traveling through the building by whatever means bedbugs travel through buildings. Building inadequately treated be rid of infestation. If your planning on renting here, plan for bedbugs. Additionally there are mice throughout apartments and utility areas.

The *dorms* at mckibbin have been infested with bedbugs since 2002... I've known many people that have been through the building roomate-go-round over here, and all have encountered bedbugs at one time or another.
those aren't mosquito or flea-bites your girl is covered in... you have bedbugs fool.

We've had bedbugs for a while, The exterminator has come at least 5 or 6 times, but all they do is spray. The bugs live in the wall, and the spray doesn't get to them.. We're forced to move out after fighting the battle for months, because my body looks like a war zone.

Our new roommate moved in with a mattress that had bugs literally crawling out of every seem. We had been sitting on the mattress for over 30 minutes before we noticed, over 6 people had been on the mattress. Most of the people put their clothes and bedding in the dryer as we were instructed to do. We had reported it to the super and an exterminator came, sprayed down all mattresses and couches, then told us he would be back in 2 weeks to check to see if they were still there, he never return
ed. Several of my roommates still regularly get bitten by bugs on a particular couch that we found in another part of the building.

2nd Floor
----------
Woke up a few weeks ago and walked to bathroom..There was a bug on my shirt, I grabbed it and it burst into blood...I initially thought it was a tick, then researched it and discovered it was a bedbug..I just woke up at 5:30am and saw something crawling on my pillow...squished it, blood again...BedBug..
My girlfriend has bites on her legs...I don't have bitemarks or itching but research shows that some people don't show marks...
I am getting the hell out of this place...
I have a bunch of stuff, and it is going to be a pain in the ass de-contaminating it all...
the rent isn't even that cheap..
dammit!
Research shows that the bugs were gone after WWII.. but came back due to poultry farms.
Stop eating meat you fools.

PROBLEM SOLVED!! I live here and everythings fine. We kicked out this SVA guy who had his childhood bed and boxspring from 8years ago! plus another bed and boxspring from a dude that had lived there before him!...we kept exterminating the room next to his and kept wondering why the bugs kept coming back....we had no idea it was him. He workd during the night and slept during the day for a whole year..He also never cleaned underneath both beds for a Whole year...I took pictures of the situation..
there was even an empty milk carton under his bed from god knows when!
1.((Both Rooms have been been 100% sealed with Joint compound and vinyl compound, Bleached throughly and coated with pesticides))
2.((also the second room was not infested..just two that went through the now sealed crack))
3.((Also Bedbug hysteria and reality is all around newyork right now and let it be known that people can break out in rashes due to psychosomatic release of toxins as well as various drugs and foods--all of which can be misdiagnosed as bedbugs))
4.there is a lot of misinformation on the internet as well regarding the properties of the bugs involved in this widespread New York problem.
I discoverd he was the source in april. So all the previous problems with the room directly next to his were a result of his bugs going through a previously unsealed crack between the two rooms.
THe crazy thing was...he tried to blame our apartment for the problem. When infact we never had the problem until he moved in about a year ago. I've lived here for 8 years and have never had problems. What was really crazy was that he refused to believe that he had bugs under his bed. I literally had to force him to check!
The problem is solved. I've keep a meticulously clean household. I always let my roomates have their own privacy regarding cleanliness within there own room. I've since changed my policy becoming obsessed with Maintaining the highest level of Cleanliness around the House. I'm even Spearheading a higher standard in the building. There are a lot of European Travelers and nomadic and just dirty students/artists/people moving to Williamsburg.
Being a vegan, I keep my kitchen beyond par. I do find it slightly ironic that Meat eaters and people who engage in a parasitic relationship with mammals such as cows are frighted by the mirror created by these bugs.
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

ULTRA CLEAN VEGAN!!!!
p.s. Our house is now more bugproof than most places in the city...bugs cannot hide if every hole is sealed ;)

04/21/09 -- got a couple bites a few weeks ago. My girlfriend thought it was spiders. We've gotten more since then and we finally decided this morning that it has to be bedbugs. I looked on the site this morning and saw that the guy across the hall from us reported bedbugs 4 months ago...
