Several months after moving into a newly renovated apartment at this address (March of 2007), I discovered a strange tick-like looking bug near the door casing. I thought it was very strange that when I crushed it - it was full of blood. Several weeks later, I heard a piece on the radio about bed bugs, and at the same time was starting to get rashes on my feet and hands. A middle of the night inspection revealed a serious infestation. The mattress was thrown out as well as rugs in the room, (5) visits from professional exterminators and the problem persists. The landlord has been unpleasant to deal with regarding this issue. I wouldn't want any one else to get fooled by a neat looking renovated apartment. Sadly its another very unpleasant aspect of finding housing in new york. It does not appear that the whole building is infested- but i would caution others relocating to this address. Apt e5
