My elderly mother and myself have rented out two separate apartments in the same building for more than 25 years. A few weeks ago her home attendant and I noticed bedbugs on her bedding, mattress and box spring and discarded everything including the bed frame and headboard. We recently found out that some of the apartments in our building have been infested with bedbugs for the past two years without our knowledge. Today, Saturday, August 2, 2008 the landlord sent an exterminator only to my mother's apartment and no one else in the building. The exterminator told us that he will fumigate just once and not come back again. This will not work. It will only spread the bedbugs throughout the building. Something needs to be done!!!
