First apartment in cooperative building detected bed bugs (bites and sightings) in July 2010 and reported to the managing agent. Management and the board let the shareholder treat it as an individual problem.
Canine inspections were delayed until September 2010, when 4 additional apartments were discovered to be infested.
Follow up has been to let each shareholder treat it individually, at their own expense and discretion. Notifications to adjacent units has not been enforced. Only manage
