In Jan 2011 they passed a bill that says it is illegal for landlords in NYC to rent an apartment without letting the new tenant know there was prior bed bug history. The lanlords should be responsible for this and they can get fined for it. They only way to stop this is to call 311 for more info

I moved out of this building over a year ago, but thought I should let others know that the apartment I rented was infested. I heard from others that lived in the building that they had them too. The realty company paid to have an exterminator, but the bed bugs kept coming back despite multiple treatments. I finally had to move out because I couldn't take it anymore.
The building itself is in a great location and the rent is affordable. I just saw a listing on craigslist for an apartment in
the building and want people to be forewarned!!!! I'm still traumatized by the experience.

I moved out from apt 21 because we had them. Saw current resident (who moved in after me), he says he has them too.

My apartment had them. I heard from at least three other tenants that hey had them. It's not a HEAVY infestation, but they are here and the landlord likes to keep it quiet. They let me out of my lease because I kept complaining, but I don't think they are going to fix the problem for the next person who moves in... This has been going on for over a year now, btw.
