It took about 3 months, but after 4 professional treatments and maybe 4 more treatments by the landlord (he bought some bed bug poison on his own and resorted to doing the treatments himself), it finally subsided. We moved out of the apartment in Oct. Now it's January and my friend who now lives in the unit that was below mine found a bedbug under her pillow.

In my unit, I've experienced bedbug bites for about 2-3 weeks now, but for a long time I thought it was mosquitoes or fleas and didn't complain. Now I've heard from a neighbor in the unit below me that it's been really bad for him for about 3 weeks, and that it's a confirmed case of bedbugs. My husband isn't affected at all, but he actually saw one beside his pillow yesterday. So the landlord is currently trying the drugstore bedbug mists. He put two cans in our bedroom today...we'll see how I look tomorrow morning.
