Got bit periodically over a period of two months- found out later the apartment below me had bedbugs also. We believe the tenants that formerly lived in the apartment below, but then moved to the basement apartment, brought them in via a used mattress (since the mattress was dumped when they moved out in July). We also had a mice infestation shortly before the bedbugs came, could have been caused by the mice as well.

Biting stopped once I thoroughly vacuumed all of my bedroom furniture. Could be that I lucked out and only had a few in my space- the girls below had enough that they were crawling on the walls. I\'ve since moved and didn\'t take any bedroom furniture with me, so hopefully I\'ll be OK.
