My entire apartment building had been infested. The landlord\'s, whose names are Athena and Gus Damaralos, and their son, Nick, who is the manager, lied to me when I moved into the building. I asked if they had ever had any bed bugs and they said they had not. After my apartment, number 10, became infested, I found out from other tenants that they had bed bugs in the building for a long time prior. I lived there from September 2007 until April 2008. I collected several bed bugs in plastic baggies. I found bed bugs in all stages of the life cycle, including an adult female with eggs inside of her abdominal cavity. After speaking to an exterminator and doing some research, I decided to dispose of almost all of my belongings. The eggs are so hard to get rid of and to kill that I felt it was better to just throw everything away. I washed all of my clothing in hot water and sprayed everything else with rubbing alcohol. I have so far been bed bug free, but it hasn\'t really been long enough to call it safe.
