On September 7th, 2009 my girlfriend and I rented a room at the Sestri Hotel 1411 Stockton Street San Francisco California. We rented room 205 after the first night we slept in there my girlfriend was covered in these blister type welts that appeared to get worse as the day progressed. We talked to the management about it and were told it was from bedbugs. The management told us there was nothing they could do about it as it was a problem in the hotel. m and offered us some Black Flag Roach spray as well as a small steamer to steam the mattress. This has not helped. We noticed that the the linen they use is not really clean and as far as occupancy the place has just as few tenants. The management is nice but does not seem to do anything about this problem. We are living on a shoestring budget, literally and do not have the means to pay for any type of intervention. If we just move the problem will most likely travel with us and the Sestri Hotel will continue to do business to new unsuspecting tenants. We feel our rights as tenants have been violated and need to know what recourse we should take.
