I have been getting bites now over the past month and a half here. I have captured 2 specimens and photographed them.

I was required to sign a statement when I moved in that I was aware that there may have been bedbugs here. I was told that they have periodic infestations everywhere here in SF. I didn't have any problems from last September until now.

I am by no stretch of the imagination a "dirty tenant" and anyone who's read up on this subject should understand that that's not the cause.

Most of the people posting here are working with the Property Manager. There are definitely nests of Bed Bugs in the building though it varies from room to room and floor to floor. There are some rooms and floors that are and have been Bug free while there are others that have an endemic problem with them. Property manager only does short term solutions: spray every once and a while, but nothing long term (like sealing up the walls and floors) so they keep coming back.

Mgmt does alot to prevent bed bugs from bein a problem. They give us free monthly service from a profesional company. They call back and set up apponitments immediately if you want em there separatly. Can't get better or more responsive than that! All the tenants work together to make it a great place to live. Thank GOD for that. Never heard of it bein a prob here!

I can't believe there were bedbug problems whatsoever. I would've heard about them if there were. I think I can pin-point who the first poster was on here and she just lied her @$$ off to get a settlement out of the owners.

I've lived there for a long time and I disagree completely with the first post. Considering it's an SRO there are basically NOT problems w/ bedbugs. Once in a while a dirty tenant will have them but they get taken out immediately by the pest control company that comes every couple weeks and more frequently when there is a problem. It's almost always been isolated incidents in this building. In the 8 years I've been living at 3398 California there have been only a few isolated incidents.

I haven't had problems personally, but others in the building have told me that before I lived there there was a problem but that the company that owns it took care of the problem really fast and that they haven't been a problem for at least 9 months.
