CONCERNED TENANT on 08/23/2012
As of August 22/12,i was watching tv in the living room, and my daughter called me and said..........mom i found another bed bug on the bed? it was actually on a pillow, but the point is that i have never experienced these problems before? i told the receptionist that after all these years of renting? i have never ever had these problems before. and i was told to bring my clothes to a dryer and dry them on very hot, and the Orkin will be over on friday, and the workers that work there were told t
o take out the baseboard heaters, and i move all my beds or everything away from the heaters, so that it can be sprayed.....IT'S NOT THE POINT EITHER......MY STUFF WAS VERY EXPENSIVE, MY KINGSIZE BED I BOUGHT FOR NEARLY 2000 DOLLARS, MY QUEEN WAS OVER 800 DOLLARS.........AND I CANT AFFORD THESE BEDS AGAIN? AND TODAY I HAD TO THROW AWAY 10 PILLOWS?...........VERY DISAPPOINTED RENTER??..........I WISH THEY WOULD DO SOMTHING RIGHT FOR ONCE..........LOOKS LIKE IM NOT THE ONLY VICTIM.

Been living at Tudor Gardens since September 1st, 2011 as I am currently going to school at Vancouver Island University. A few months ago me and my roommate noticed some strange bugs and looked up bed bugs on the computer, to our surprise we had bed bugs. With no new furniture or objects brought into the house it was shocking to discover that we were now infested with little creatures sucking our blood and leaving rashes and bite marks over our bodies. The day after we found out we told our land
lords about the bugs with one taped to a piece of paper as proof. They didnt even look at our proof as they called their fumigation guy and told us we needed to buy bed bug covers along with throw out our couches. Telling us we could pay at a later date for these fees ($80 per bedbug cover, $45 for removal of couch). The next day the fumigation guy came and fumigated. All laundry was done every second day along with sheets and pillow covers in order to prevent the bugs, along with leaving the clothes concealed within garbage bags to prevent the bugs from getting into the clothes after they were cleaned. After 10 days the fumigation guy came for a second time. A third date was scheduled on the 23rd of February (suppose to spray every 10 days) BUT the fumigation guy showed up, told us that if we did not have any problems that their was no need to spray for a second time. The monday after I talked to our landlords and told them that we wanted a 3rd spray and they called the fumigation guy back up to do a third spray (5 days after he was suppose to on February 28, 2012). After doing all laundry after the spray, as to kill any still left within the bedding or clothes, we assumed the problem was over. Unfortunately on March 7th, 2012 my roommate was bitten by a bed bug. After searching the entire apartment we sucked up one in a vacuum and found a second one to tape and stick to a piece of paper as proof. Having a long talk with my roommate we both have agreed that we can no longer live in this establishment. They have mold behind the base boards (found out when they pried up the boards to fumigate), and they are now attempting to evict us because they added the bedbug covers on top of our rent after telling us that we could pay it of in pieces. The base boards are still pried up around the entire house exposing the mold, they are attempting to evict us, they still have bed bugs, and soon me and my roommate will have to move out and attempt to find new places as we are currently both going to school with full course loads. I have no idea if they plan to fumigate again and being a young adult I have no idea how to deal with these types of situations. WHATEVER ANYBODY DOES DO NOT MOVE TO TUDOR GARDENS ON WAKESAIH!

I have been dealing with bedbugs in my apartment for more then a year - they've sprayed 9 times, not including the last set of 3 sprays that they recently did! Each time they sprayed, my suite was cleaned down to the ground and everything was done according to specs; all the laundry was done at a commercial laundromat; and everything was double vaccummed THEN steam cleaned! However, it didn't work - within days, my children and I were getting bitten again. We were bitten so much and so often tha
t we all developed an allergy to the bedbug bites, and I ended up sending my children to my grandmother's place for most of the summer - my son, who turned 12 just before this happened, didn't even get a birthday party! My friends very kindly offered to allow me to stay with them while I was waiting for them to finish spraying and get the problem under control - but after 4 months of staying with friends while working from another friend's house (I work at home full time as a CCP for Alpine Access) I finally found another place and returned their keys.
I had to dispose of all of my furniture and belongings because my furniture became infested and we had to sleep on the floor with no mattresses for more then 6 months. Finally, I was able to get it through their heads that there really WAS a problem when I emailed the president of Orkin, and they came, pulled up the carpet, and found that the bed bugs had infested the walls, baseboards, and old hardwood floors (which had old carpet glued to it, and new carpet placed on top of it with strips of underlay)! I have many many pictures for proof of eggs, nests, and bugs.
I would like to hear from ANY AND ALL people who have lived in Tudor Gardens in the last 3 years and have dealt with bed bugs or had personal loss from bedbugs - please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org .
