The best thing to do is report to your landlord. You have some rights as a tenant, and the place should get sprayed.
If you are interested. I'm currently developing a documentary film in Vancouver about bedbugs, and I'm looking for someone who is battling these pests. I've been doing loads of research about them over the past 5 months, meeting with some of the best information sources in the city. I would like to help you guys out.

We have lived in this building since June 2007. We have had numerous reports of bed bugs from within the building since then, but have not seen any specific evidence in our own unit. People have been throwing away their furniture for months. The building has already treated all the units once and re-treated some of the units a second time. Now, at the end of December 2007, we've found visible bugs and eggs for the first time in our apartment, in around our bed. Does anyone know if there is anywhere official to report to, and is there any kind of compensation available to those who need to move or throw away furniture.......?
