WOW!! read the end of the building managers rant
"dont forget the buggers are coming to area soon Mgr 242 est 14", That is SO incriminating! hes admitting that his building has it and soon will be in others. dummy outted himself by mistake.
my honest opinion, any building with this many complaints should be avoided like the plague, stay bug free and avoid everyone! better safe than sorry!
glad i dont live in vancouver this guy sounds like the worst manager EVER. and really dumb by the defensi
ve posts he made.

DEFINATELY STILL HAS BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE MANAGEMENT ARE LYING, CROOKED.. YOU WILL HAVE TO THROW AWAY ALL YOUR THINGS IF YOU MOVE IN, JUST BY READING THE BUILDING MANAGERS RANTING DRUNK SOUNDING POST DOWN BELOW SHOWS THE EXTENT OF IGNORANCE! ANYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT BED BUGGS CAN PICK THAT RANT APART HIS RANT AND ALL OF THE LIES IT CONTAINS!
HOTSPOT? SURE MAYBE A BEDBUG HOTSPOT IN A BUILDING CONTAING BLACK MOLD & BEDBUGS THAT IS READY TO BE CONDEMNED AND DEMOLISHED.
DONT LISTEN TO THE LIES,
JUST KNOCK ON ANY OF THE TENATS DOORS AND ASK!

To the last idiot defending the building, it is F*****D , and i have a feeling this is the building manager trying to defend the condemnable building, NICE TRY!!!! HAAA! the management is SO uneducated about the issue itself, or they just choose to ignore it.... if any of you did your research about bed bugs, if they are in an old building with unsealable cracks and crevaces everywhere, you will NEVER get rid of the bugs by fumigating 1 , 2 , 3 or even 4 of the suites, that drives them deeper an
d deeper in... the whole building has to be tented and that is $$$ the cheap building owner doesnt want to pay... i suggest you smarten up do your homework and quit lying through your teeth before defending a bug ridden building that has never been treated properly. shame on you.
PS with bugs crawliing every where during the day, multiple bed bug exterminators like orkin will tell you fumigating apartments one at a time is the worst thing you can do.

Situation at this building has & will only get worse. The building manager is a puppet for the building owner in the enabling of spraying without a legit pco ( they wont even say what company they work for or what chemicals they use.). Building also has severely toxic black mold issue aswell. Building manager is HIGHLY uneducated, in the issue of bedbugs and in general. Great If you want to live in east Hastings like ghetto environment...LOL. Sure the location is great and it's cheap... But no
t worth the stress and disgust. STAY-AWAY at all costs, unless you want to throw out everything that you own and have it cost you thousands for new bed and furniture.
Kay on 08/23/2010
The owner uses unqualified pest control that refuse to give the name of their company, the insurance number and all of the basic info any true pco would be happy to give. Shame. Now it is certain they are using harmful pesticides that shouldn't be used. This building will forever be a slum until all of the tenants work together in getting the building properly treated. Never rent here unless you enjoy living in DTES conditions on what is supposed to be a nice neighbourhood near main street. Gros
s! It makes me want to throw up it's so nasty here.

Building is infested of bedbugs. We see during day crawling everywhere, there many crack in walls and by baseboards, to many to seal bugs attack us at night any leave horrible sores, do not rent from buildin, it very bad here and no one do anything about, I cannot move because I can't get the money to.

So this building may seem like a great deal, oh boy... It's one of the worst cases I've heard of or seen, the landlord claims there are no bugs but after a few days... They appear. All the bedbugs I have caught have been during the day, 4 lady bug size adults, on the wall, curtain, bathtub and floor. I also saw a nymph crawling towards me in broad daylight. The apartment has a sickly musty odour, and the bed bugs are so well established they have set up camp in the walls. The landlord wanted to
spray my place with who knows what chemicals, from 'his guys', I offered to pitch in on a well recomended exterminator, but he declined. I asked over 4 times who he used as his pest control and he will not say. Very fishy. Unfortunately I had already paid my first months rent and on the 1st I moved in and saw the ex-tenant come out telling me to get my money back and the landlord blamed the bugs on her. HA! He then tried to blame them on me saying to check my mattress, what a load of ****. anyways after he lied to my face and said there were no bugs , I confronted him saying they are obviously here, he then proceeded to tell me they had sprayed some mystery chemicals and they are gone for good, more lies. Long story short I gave my notice after less than 3 weeks of living here, it's a true slum here, paint peeling, heavy bed bug infestation that no one here is educated enough to do correct procedure to take care of.... this place needs to be evacuated and fumigated... They will never get rid of them here because the actual owner is obviously too cheap and doesn't give a **** about the people that make him his money. All renters beware, you will get lied to, and once you discover how bad it is it will end up costing you more, I have to throw almost all of my furniture and mattress away.... Sooooo sickening. Beware, beware, beware... That's all I can say. I wish I had met the ex-tenant before I gave my rent over, ughhh... Worst experience ever here, and it will NEVER get better. Please head this warning.
