Stayed in hotel the week of 1/18/16. I woke up in morning to find blood stains on my pillow. I inspected further and found a bed bug husk under the pillow. Beware of the hotel.

I am the manger of the Hampton Inn of Emporia, Va and am proud to say that we have an exterminator that comes to our property once a month and treats our hotel for any insects. In addition to the professional, our maintenane department checks each room while doing preventive maintenance for any signs of bed bugs or other insects. We just replaced all the guest room carpet a month ago and removed all matresses from the room, each one was looked at as a prevention and we are happy to report that
there were no issues of any type insects or bed bugs. I am so sorry to hear that you thought that bed bugs were picked up from this location. I just want to assure you that this is not the case, please do come and visit our property again in the futre.

We stayed at the hotl on 11/29/12 on our way from PA to SC. Several days after arriving home we notices marks on our 4 year olds legs. They appeared to be miquito bites or small bruises. Several more days later his legs were covered, and we looked in his bed and carpet and found the bed bugs. We have an extremely clean home and are confident that we picked them up at this location.
