We stayed at this hotel Friday night the 18th of Oct. We awoke to
bites on back. we talked to the lady at the registry and showed her the picture we took and she said that some other lady who was supposed to be trained in looking for them was going to go tear our room apart to check for them while we ate breakfast. When we returned to our room we took another picture and the room wasn't touched.
We will never stay there again.

I am "Ken" who submitted the bug report given in the Registry above.
My report was DEAD WRONG!!
Although my "bites" were identical to those given in the Google search and IDed by several friends, including a nurse, they receded, somewhat, but after another day, begin to create pain. I stopped by our local health center's emergency room. By that time, the "bites" had expanded considerably. The health center's staff immediately diagnosed my problem as SHINGLES. So, I am now treating my shin
gles (a version of the chicken pox virus)and thinking I might have preferred to have bed bugs!!
My apologies to the motel in Newport, TN. I should have guessed the quality of their motel and service would not accommodate bed bugs.

The date was Dec 12, 2011. I pulled into Newport, randomly, with my Labrador dog. I was given Rm 122--a room reserved for guests with pets (I'm told). The room was spotless, the sheets crisp, the shower clean. I put down a bath towel to mark the place I wanted my dog to sleep, and she stayed there all night without a twitch. The next morning, I showered, shaved, and had a good breakfast in the motel's dining room.
I arrived at my destination in NC about 3:30 p.m. that same day. The followi
ng day I woke up with bites on a large area of my back and left waist level. Either there were a lot of bugs or I rolled over on a couple, causing multiple bites.
I had no bites comining to the motel, and I've not had any additional since I arrived at my NC home, so logically, the bites had to occur at the motel. My dog shows no bites or bite behavior (scratching, etc.). So the BB must be in the BED.
This was a very nice motel, otherwise. I hope they get their infestation removed.

Stayed at the Best Western in Newport TN. for one week in March 2010. Found a small bug in my bed but we were working on our lot in the woods so I thought it came in from the woods. When I checked out I showed it to the desk clerk and joked it could be a bed bug and they said no it was not. On the way home red dots starting popping up all over my arms, legs and neck. I googled bed bugs when I got home and I looked just like their example pictures and the pics of the bug was what was in my bed.
