a live bedbug was crawling across the bed spread. I picked it up in a tissue,my husband went to the front desk to discretely inform the manager. They sent a maintenance man to confirm. They moved us to a room two doors down. The maintenance man and my husband checked the mattress and headboard area. All seemed clear. They took, $30.00 off our bill. The maintenance man was great. He apologized for our inconvenience, listened to all of my concerns, and made sure we were settled into our new room c

omfortably. It would have been nice if the manager would have made the effort to take a walk down the hall to our room to see that all was OK. We like La Quinta, this was our second time staying at this location.
