Stayed February 19, 2013 Room 301, as single occupant. Room had 2 queen beds. On turning down covers of 1st bed, discovered pubic hairs and "bed cheese." Turned down 2nd bed and found dead bedbug among those gritty sheets. Since it was about midnight and hotel was full, I just slept on top of the covers in my clothes and checked out early next morning after showering in mold/mildewed tub.
Left dead bedbug with desk clerk who promised a call or email from manager that day. When I returned home,
my credit card company had alerted me that I had been charged for the day I checked out as well, but I never heard from the manager. I called desk clerk and she said an adjustment had been made to my bill, but I explained that I didn't consider doubling my bill a proper adjustment. She said manager had gone home and would be back next day. I called several times next day finally getting him at end of day. He said he would take 20% off room (I know Hampton Inn will delete entire charge for something like this.) Today I see on my credit card site that a credit for one day was posted but a matching charge for the 3rd day was added, so still no discount and still charges for days I did not stay.
