Reports of bed bugs are taken very seriously and we act immediately to investigate the claim and eradicate bed bug if they are found.
We use a professional company (Steritech) to complete investigation and removal if necessary.
In the most recent case by "Anonymous" 7/30/2013 guest was in room 814. Steritech was contacted the same day as the claim and immediately investigated the guest claim and found "No Evidence" of bed bugs in or around room 814. Investigation & report completed the sa
me day as guest claim.

Bed bugs!!! Went to lay down and immediately felt them crawling. Reported to hotel mgt.

We stayed in July for 2 nights and had bed bugs in our room. We both got bit several times during our stay but didn't realize it until on the way home. Thought it was mosquitos or sand fleas but the bites got worse after we got home and then realized it was bed bugs and we had brought them back with us (I had to research it on the internet before I figured out what was happening). I had an allergic reaction to the bites and had to go to a doctor for prescription medicine. Could not sleep for
weeks. Eventually we had to pay an exterminator over $1000 to treat the house. Had to practically take the house apart and wash everything.
We tried to contact the hotel directly and got no answer for days. We contacted corporate customer service and they opened a formal complaint, giving the hotel 48 hours to contact us. They did not ever call us back. We finally talked to someone at the hotel 3 days after that and they were pretty rude and dismissive. The hotel said they checked the room and it was fine so we must be lying because we took so long to tell them - even though their failure to respond had added almost a week to the process. The corporate customer service dept said because the hotel said there was no problem that that was good enough for them and closed the complaint. We feel like we were pretty much brushed off about the whole thing.
In addition to all that, the hotel is fairly worn out. The elevators are horribly slow and people complained about them every time we rode. The pool is like a postage stamp. Didn't eat there but saw that it was pretty expensive for what was probably typical hotel food. Hard to get in and out of parking lot on account that hotel is between 2 one way highways that people fly up and down - kind of a blind exit on one side and fairly dangerous in the mornings.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
