June 24 - 30, 2012. I stayed at the Chambers for almost a week and had no problem. I stay there at least 4 times per year for the past 4 years and have never had a problem. The hotel seems very clean and well maintained to me. I have encountered bed bugs at other hotels in NYC and had the misfortune of bringing them home. I am very particular now about where I stay and would stay at the Chambers again.

Saturday night 1/29/11, we checked into the Chambers hotel around 4 pm. After checking into the hotel, I used the bathroom and I found a bed bug on the wall. I killed it and placed the body of the bug in a plastic zip lock bag. I showed my boyfriend and we looked up pictures of bed bugs online before we began to panic. We called the manager to show him the bug and the pictures online. He denied it was a bed bug, said it wasn't the right colors and smaller then a Bed Bug, as if he was a bug ex
pert. He switched us rooms. I checked the new room and found more signs of bugs in the 2nd room. Brownish blood stains on the sheets, a shed skin of a bug on the sheets as well as a small tiny bug on the sheets. I called for another set of sheets after tossing the pillows, towels, comforter and throw pillows in the hallway. I went to dinner and when we came back, there were signs of bugs on the bed, a small shell of a bug appeared on the sheets. we packed it up and left ASAP, spending the night at the Train Station until 9am, after getting their at 4:45AM. We have thrown all of our clothes, shoes, jackets and luggage (EVERYTHING we PACKED) in the garbage. To say the least, this was a nightmare.
