I checked in to this hotel July 21st on the 1st floor and after a night or two I noticed bites not knowing what the problem was. I went to the doctor thinking I was allergic to something because the bites turned in to welts. The doctor confirmed they were bedbug bites. I reported this to the front desk and they called a pest control company that they use on a regular basis. I was in the room while they inspected it with a small flashlight. They took the bed apart, checked the boxspring, matt
ress, bed skirt, etc. If you have done your research on bedbugs like I have then you would know and they should have known that they can get in the baseboards, lamp shades, carpet, etc. They said they didn't see anything and if the bedbugs were there they would see them. I ended up spending one more night in that room and was bitten again then they finally moved me to another room. Before I moved to the other room I washed everything,I put all my clothes in the dryer on the highest heat setting and threw out my suitcases. I didn't want to take any chances. I stayed at the hotel several more weeks and had no more bites. Thank God!! Living with bedbugs is very disturbing. I had considered sleeping in my car because I was in transition and didn't want to take the bugs to someone else's house. I was afraid to fall asleep because as you may know bedbugs only bite at night. Hopefully no one else will go through this hell.
