I spent 5 nights in room 224. On the 4th day, I had a few red bumps and wondered what they were. By the 5th day, I had lots of red bumps and management moved me to another room.
I started reading about bedbugs and learned that black casings can be left by the bugs and seen on the sheets.
I had noticed some small black flecks on the sheets, and thought it odd, but the bed was tightly made, obbiously not slept in, otherwise clean..... if brushed the black flecks away and just though
t it weird.
Now I am freaked out because last night, in the NEW room, I pulled back the sheets and saw two black flecks. I had not yet read about bedbugs, thought, "That's WEIRD! I looked at them to make sure they were not bugs, then brushed them away."
Now, with new bites appearing, I have just read that the bugs shed their skin and it looks like black spots.
I am wondering if the cleaning staff is putting sheets that somehow still have the casings on them on beds when they make them up new.

Further report on above situation. Spent a restless night killing bedbugs as I refused to contaminate another room or hotel. Multiple bugs killed, still got terribly bitten on my leg when I did sleep. It appears room 106 has a history of this. After I spoke with management, who did comp my entire stay for this week, I spoke to the guests in the rooms to either side of me, to make them aware of the situation as bedbugs can spread to adjoining rooms. The gentleman in the room next to me appare
ntly had occupied room 106 for several weeks, and had suffered identical bites. He sought treatment in hospital, costing him over $700. He was shocked and disgusted when I showed him the culprits, but it clarified his prior bites. My primary concern is this is the third week in a row I have spent at least one night in that room. I had prior to this taken my luggage into the house, thinking nothing of it. Terminex comes tomorrow for an inspection...pray for me.
