Sunday May 11, 2008 my wife and I checked into the Best Western in Novato, CA. We had a room with two beds both of which had dead bed bugs between the bottom of the sheet and mattress cover. We were moved to another room and both beds in that room not only had bed bugs but molted skin from the bed bugs on the mattress cover, mattress, bottom of the mattress and under the dust ruffle on the box springs. Needless to say we checked out.

We stayed at the Best Western Inn At Longwood from 11/2 to 11/14 missing 2 nights when we moved to another hotel. We stayed in several rooms: 745, 609, 624 and 507. My daughter noticed that she had an approx. 3-4 inch line on her side that looked like one little blister or bite after another and then another bite alongside. It swelled up and got very red that was while we were in room 609. In room 507 we thought we saw a tick in the bath room and quickly got rid of it while thinking what is a tick doing in the city. Later that night we found another. Two days before we left I noticed 3 bites in a clump on my wrist and then 3 on the other side of my wrist. Before I knew it I had bites from my face to my ankles!! When we got home I was emptying out laundry from a duffel bag and saw a small bug fall out and killed it without thinking. It wasn't until I got home and more bites kept popping out did I realize what was happening. I looked at the picture of an adult bed bug and realized that what we thought were ticks were actually bed bugs. I called the hotel this evening and spoke to 2 people who both seemed non-plussed by what I was telling them. I need to call the manager. Now I am left worrying that we have infested 2 houses and 2 cars! And I can't stop itching. Hopefully my 4 month old grand daughter did not get any bites. What really concerns me is that many people who are ill or who have family members that are very ill stay here because of the proximity to the hospitals.
