We was told we could check in at 4pm. The room was not ready till five. The house keepers child walked right in my room. So I did not feel safe leaving our things in the room. Wen we found a bed bug we went to the office they wanted to change our room. Never again.

I stayed here on about a month ago in a themed suite. I didn't see any bed bugs, but later I realized I got bitten up like crazy!! I just found a website today, www.wildwoodinnexposed.com. Seems like they have this problem quite a bit. I wish I would have known.... :( Of course, Wildwood Inn won't do anything about it.

I dropped off a friend, and helped them carry their luggage to their room. They had a suite. Upon arriving there was an awful smell like urine and meldew in the corridor that houses the rooms, and leads to the lobby. The tile floor was so dirty, and the carpet leading to the rooms, were also and smelled. The room has old air conditioners, and room looks like it has not been changed since 1960 to include the carpet, and walls. I walked over to sink, and countertop was crawling
with about 50 ants, which were also on the floor. Where there are ants are other bugs...roaches, spiders, and bedbugs. My guess were that this place has bedbugs, so I looked it up. Sure enough here we are with many stories of medical care, and spottings of bedbugs in the rooms. If this place is not going to call Terminex for ants, keep the place clean, upgrade, do you think they have spent the money for bed bug problem???? This place was just gross. I would have been more comfortable sleeping in my car. The only area maintained was the pool area.
We went there to let our kids play and swim for the day, figured a fun way to spend the day with the kids as most of us will do. We went straight to the pool area because the kids were excited instead of going to the room which was a big mistake because if you don't report any issues within 30 minutes you are no longer eligible for a refund. We found bugs and once we reported it they said all they can do is offer us a different room which was not going to happen. We will never go there again!
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights just after Christmas, 2011. We had stayed before with no problems, and I checked the bed and sheets when we checked in with no evidence of bedbugs. After returning home, I had a horrible rash that my doctor identified as an extreme allergic reaction to bed bugs--a reaction that cost hundreds of dollars and three weeks of steroid treatments to clear up. The worst part is the hotel did not respond at all to my attempts to contact them afterwa
rds! Because of the lack of evidence of long term infestation, I assumed the bedbugs had been brought in by a recent guest. But if the staff doesn't care enough to even respond to an email or phone call, then it's clearly going to become a long term infestation :(
We stayed there Saturday July 9th for our honeymoon. My husband and I inspected the room when we arrived and it appeared to clean. So we stayed. When we woke in the morning I found a bed bug crawling across the sheets. My husband put it in a cup to show the front desk. The front desk agent told my husband that he would contact the manager and we would hear back about the situitaion. It's been over 48 hours and we still haven't heard anything. We even left the gift basket my dad bought for
our room because we didn't want to bring any bed bugs home. Are clothes are now wrapped up in a black trash bag and in the car because we don't want to chance bed bugs getting into our house.
We were there on Saturday,6/11/11 for my bachelorette party. A bed bug crawled across the blanket. We took the bug to the front office and we were told that Orkin would be called in on Monday to "verify" the room was infested and we could possibly get a refund at that time. Although the actual bug was now laying on their front office desk as verification. The manager then refused to let us take a picture of it. We told another customer checking in that we found a bed bug and we were told that th
e cops would be called to escort us off of the property. My bachelorette party was ruined.
My husband and I stayed there the weekend of November 21st. The room appeared clean and we did not ever see any bugs however after we had arrived home...bed bug bites appeared on my right arm and left hand. I went to the doctor as soon as the itchy bumps appeared. I had called the hotel to let them know that I had been to the doctor and recommend they should check the room we stayed in just in case they were to have another guest book that same room. I never accused them of having bed bugs. The
person working the front desk said that they just inspected rooms and nothing was found..maybe I might have had a reaction to the cholorine in the pool. He also told me no one else had called with any skin reactions like mine when I asked. The morning that we left...we did notice that the Orkin man was parked outside the main building. We were concerned but then assumed it was just a routine check. I was never compensated for the bites or even apoligized to.
