I am a former employee of this property (FRONT DESK CLERK)and I know that there are several rooms with bed bugs. The property has 56 rooms and out of those 56 more than 20 rooms have had a bed bug problem. On top of bed bugs there is a problem with mold. (BLACK MOLD). I had to deal with several guest complaining about being bitten by bed bugs very frequently. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay at this property!!!
Klarbars-Bitten by Microtel's BedBugs! on 12/23/2012
I had a 3 night stay at this hotel room 224. The room was a little dirty but I've seen worse so I didn't think anything of it and continued on with my trip (to see my son graduate from the basic training). I stayed from December 11 - 14. By the time I got home I watched these red itchy bumps multiply until I was covered. I called the hotel to basically to let them know I believe you have a bed bug problem and when I called Melinda answered who told me the room I was in 224 has been quarantined .

... Quarantined? So my suspicions were valid. These bites did come from the room. I don't understand why the hotel wouldn't immediately call the previous guests to warn them of what has happened to maybe help avoid packing these blood suckers home to spread all over the house and to the family. This is horrible! I have had to see the doctor to get the itching under control, call an exterminator, clean and steam all my clothes, pretty much everything I have touched. It's an awful feeling knowing these bugs can go 18 months without feeding so they will hide and hangout until they can strike again. It's an awful way to live (in fear)! Yes I am living in fear. It's terrible. Please do yourself a favor and do your homework before your next trip.
